Living the American Dream at DodgeArrows Annapolis

My name is Louben Repke, and I am the owner of DodgeArrows Annapolis and I’m living the American Dream! I am originally from Haiti but moved to the U.S. when I was 10 years old. My first two languages were Haitian Kreyol and French. I moved to the states without speaking a lick of English. I attended Old Mill Middle North, where I had my first taste of the American school system (which was quite a shocker, haha). For high school, I graduated from Broadneck in 2008.

My career began working in a physical therapy setting at Cypress Creek Physical Therapy as tech, then I became a personal trainer, where I found my calling in helping others. This passion led me to establish Repke Fitness in Millersville, MD, in 2014, a personal training facility dedicated to aiding those with injuries and medical conditions.

Today, Repke Fitness thrives with a dedicated team, continuing our mission to transform lives. My journey didn’t stop there; I eventually became a registered nurse graduating from AACC then earning my bachelor’s degree (BSN). I’ve worked at various clinical settings but now currently work PRN at BWMC’s surgery center. However, my entrepreneurial spirit soared with the creation of DodgeArrows Annapolis, my primary venture that reflects my love for innovation and community engagement.

The Genesis of DodgeArrows

The concept of DodgeArrows which has been around for over a decade but was an unexpected discovery for me during a quest for a unique group activity for my brother’s 34th birthday in February 2022. Seeking alternatives to traditional pastimes like paintball and laser tag, DodgeArrows emerged as an exhilarating option that captivated both me and my friends. The thrill of the game was undeniable, sparking a newfound passion that eventually led to the birth of DodgeArrows Annapolis.
An opportune email from Opportunity Builder’s Inc. (OBI) regarding available space catalyzed the transformation of this passion into a tangible business. Recognizing the potential, I seized the moment, and DodgeArrows Annapolis was born, officially opening its doors on December 22nd, 2022. DodgeArrows is also known as DodgeBow, Archery Games, Archery Dodgeball, Combat Archery, Ultimate Archery, Arrow Dodge and more…but it’s all the same thing we love to shoot arrows at each other just under different names/brands.
